| I would like to print in the Booklet format but with four weeks on the four "pages" of the booklet. Starting with the selected week. |

| What would be really great is there was a way to drag and drop elements to the print layout to make your own custom PaperSync, ala PocketMod. |

| I second Morgon's opinion here. I already find the papersync to be the killer feature of the program. If I could customize it a bit to my needs, that would be exponentially better. |

We are evaluating more customization options for papersync; for after the beta.

Sabika,
I hope one of the papersync customization options you will be evaluating is duplex printing. I currently do it manually but it would be great if 2-sided printing could be done from within the application.
I currently carry at least two sheets of paper with me. Sheet one is the Pocket with Hourly details and the flip side is Lists only.
Both sides of the second sheet is the Pocket simple grid of the current month on one side the the next month on the other.
I find this setup very useful. |

Yes, I agree with these.
I would also like to be able to set landscape layout as the default for PaperSync so I don't have to set this for every page I print.
thanks,

| It would also be nice if we could control the font size for appontmetns and tasks. The print as is, is too small for reading at a glance. Also, those who have less than perfect eyesight might like that as well. |

I'd like to have the option of printing multiple months using the traditional monthly calendar view. One month per page. You then select how many months to print.
This is still a useful way to post your calendar for other people to read.
I think this would be especially useful if (when?) functionality for sharing or merging calendars with other users is offered. |

I'm so glad to hear you're going to be advancing the Papersync feature!
For me, Papersync is "where the rubber meets the road," so to speak. It's what I'll be refering to throughout the day, day to day. What I want to do is use Scrybe as my "home base" planner--updating it with events and planning out my tasks only once a week; then print out a Papersync and have the Papersync be my planner for the rest of the week "on the field." (I'm all about keeping myself from being chained to technology as much as possible, even though I love technology - it's a love/hate relationship.) And of course any changes or additions to my schedule I would make directly on my Papersync and update it in my Scrybe planner at the end of the week.
In past years, I've been doing just this using Pocketmod along with another calendar application (before Scrybe came along). Pocketmod is great because of the way it folds into a booklet, but even more importantly, because of its ability to customize its pages to how you need it. The limitation of Pocketmod is that they only have templates--you have to print them out and fill them in manually. You can't automatically sync your personal data. That's why Scrybe's Papersync is so beautiful. When you end up implementing more customize-ability to the pages, I think it's going to be perfect.
Just like in the Pocketmod.com application, it would be great to have a list of pages you could choose from, and drag and drop them onto the papersync pages in whatever order you want.
Some ideas for pages that I thought I'd suggest:
- Day view; with the ability to customize number of days shown on a page. You could drag up to 7(?) days onto one page, and it would auto-size so the page would always be filled up. There would be different layouts available to display days on the page: stacked, columns, blocks.. or maybe even the layout within a page is completely customizable.*
- Year calendar view, with dates containing events bolded or highlighted; with ability to customize range of months shown (auto-size to fit page). you could choose which calendars' events to show. (see corresponding page below)
- Events view, lists events only (no tasks) corresponding to above page (shows name and time of event) (auto-size font to fit page). [Having these two pages (year calendar view and events view) would let you know on the spot whether or not you're able to schedule an event on a certain date without having to refer to a computer.]
- templates such as lined paper, music-lined paper, grid paper, sudoku, etc.
- ability to import your own template
*I imagine under 'Day view' there would be a list: Week 1 through Week 8, each of those with expandable sub-lists, consisting of individual days. Week 1 would have "Today" through "Day 7." Week 2 would have "Day 8" through "Day 15," and so on. You could drag all of "Week 2" onto a page, or you can drag its individual days. (Since there are 8 pages in pocket mode, you could have one week per page, if you so desired.) You could save the format you made, and the pages would automatically be updated with new information the next time you want to print. It could also be helpful to have the option to save multiple formats.
I really really look forward to updates on the Papersync feature. All in all, though, I can't say how much I'm impressed with this application. I looked into a lot of different calendar apps before Scrybe, and this is by far the most thorough. Keep it up, Scrybe team! |
